Senior Material is a global leader in the production and technology of separator films for lithium-ion batteries, ranked among the top two manufacturers worldwide by production volume and R&D. The establishment of Senior Material (Europe) marks one of the most significant foreign direct investments into Sweden in recent years, with an ongoing (2025) production capacity of 600 million square meters. By 2035, the European production, headquartered in Sweden, is projected to reach a staggering 3 billion square meters annually—equivalent to the manufacturing need of 3 million+ European electric vehicles per year.
